• Oversee intricate, multi-faceted research projects that encompass products, platforms, services, or therapeutic domains.
• Formulate research strategies by pinpointing knowledge gaps, prioritizing critical questions, and aligning research with product, business, and user goals.
• Convert ambiguous inquiries into well-defined decision-making frameworks.
• Choose and implement qualitative, quantitative, or mixed research methodologies.
• Set the appropriate level of rigor for each decision context while balancing speed, depth, and confidence.
• Create ethical, accessible, unbiased, inclusive, and regulatory-compliant research methodologies.
• Distill complex, multi-source data into actionable insights, implications, and recommendations.
• Integrate evidence across studies, products, timeframes, and user demographics to uncover patterns, unmet needs, and opportunities.
• Impact product, design, engineering, clinical, and business decisions through research findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in complex, ambiguous, and regulated settings.
• Mentor researchers and cross-functional partners.
• Enhance research methods, tools, standards, and processes.
• Create reusable research frameworks, playbooks, templates, and knowledge repositories.
• Promote the responsible integration of AI and emerging technologies into research workflows.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, Behavioral Science, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in UX research.
• Experience in supporting digital products, services, platforms, or intricate workflows.
• Profound expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods.
• A portfolio showcasing methodological rigor, sound judgment, and research-informed decision-making.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong research judgment with the ability to determine the appropriate level of rigor.
• Capability to synthesize complex evidence into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Systems thinking that spans products, user demographics, and business objectives.
• Strong acumen in product and business domains.
• Comfort with navigating ambiguity and framing poorly defined problems.
• Ability to influence decisions without direct authority.
