This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research at the county level for priority states, synthesizing data related to poverty, birth rates, infant mortality, and Medicaid coverage in order to pinpoint areas of greatest need and model program costs using government and public health datasets.
• Research and chart the stakeholder landscape in new states, identifying organizations aligned with maternal and child health, early childhood initiatives, or unconditional cash assistance.
• Monitor a multi-state pipeline through various stages—prospect, active, and committed—flagging potential risks and determining next steps to sustain momentum.
• Create and maintain briefing materials, contact lists, and work plans across a multi-state pipeline.
• Assist the Program Director in preparing for external meetings by drafting agendas, conducting background research, and developing presentation materials.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and Fundraising Manager to draft concept notes, funder briefs, meeting follow-ups, and proposals tailored to specific audiences.
• Assume independent responsibility for exploratory conversations, which includes managing inbound interest from new regions, nurturing relationships, and ensuring timely follow-through.
• As new sites approach launch, support operational planning: developing staffing plans, marketing strategies, enrollment plans, and program design modifications in collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.
• Lead the identification, selection, and onboarding of local community partner organizations, cultivate those relationships, and oversee their contributions toward program objectives.
• Oversee the hiring process for site-level associates.
• Act as a liaison between the Program Director, the Rx Kids Michigan team, and on-the-ground site staff during critical launch phases.
• Spearhead the adaptation of GiveDirectly's technology platform and processes for new sites, identifying necessary configuration changes and ensuring their implementation.
• Manage budgets, work plans, and timelines across active expansion efforts, proactively identifying risks and recommending adjustments.
• Facilitate the execution of data sharing agreements, grant agreements, and MOUs as commitments are secured by drafting, routing for review and approval, following up to keep processes moving, and negotiating when necessary.
• Provide in-depth reviews of agreements, flagging issues and ensuring alignment with Rx Kids program principles.
• Strong alignment with GiveDirectly Values and a proven ability to demonstrate core competencies such as emotional intelligence, problem-solving, project management, follow-through, and fostering inclusivity.
• 3–5 years of experience overseeing multiple workstreams with minimal supervision, ideally encompassing both programmatic and partnership responsibilities.
• A proven track record of launching initiatives: capable of taking a new concept from idea to execution, anticipating obstacles, and maintaining progress even without a clear playbook.
• Excellent critical thinking and judgment—able to ask pertinent questions, synthesize information rapidly, and make sound decisions with incomplete data.
• Comfortable working with data, including the ability to ask the right questions, manage inconsistent or incomplete datasets, and translate findings into clear outputs.
• Strong organizational instincts—you establish systems, maintain them, and proactively address risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to represent GiveDirectly externally with professionalism.
• Ability to quickly reprioritize based on changing circumstances, focusing on the highest-impact opportunities while keeping sight of the longer-term pipeline.
• Experience in or familiarity with maternal/child health, early childhood policy, cash assistance, or a related field is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• A positive and supportive team environment with opportunities for career advancement.
• A strong commitment to fostering the professional development and growth of all staff members.
• A competitive salary, including performance bonuses.
• A comprehensive health benefits plan (specific details will vary by country).
• Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), which we strongly encourage staff to utilize!
• Desk allowance and flexible work location options.
