Upstream Program Coordinator – Kansas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assist in the execution of the Upstream Kansas Youth Leadership Prevention Program.

• Organize youth activities, meetings, and events.

• Facilitate youth leadership growth and encourage participation in community coalition prevention initiatives.

• Aid in the administration of grants and cooperative agreements, including developing work plans, budgets, and progress reports.

• Collaborate with state agencies, coalition partners, and subject matter experts to provide training and technical support.

• Assist youth advisory groups.

• Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and events that enhance youth leadership and knowledge in substance use prevention.

• Contribute to additional CADCA US Programs initiatives as assigned.

• Travel within Kansas and nationally as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred (not mandatory).

• Three to five years of experience in public health initiatives, youth leadership programs, or community coalition work.

• Strong skills in public health program coordination and project management.

• Experience with youth leadership programs, community coalitions, and public health initiatives.

• Knowledge of substance use prevention, tobacco prevention, or related public health strategies.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and partnership-building abilities.

• Capability to work collaboratively with youth, adult advisors, and organizational partners.

• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

• Familiarity with Kansas's public health landscape and youth-serving systems preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

• Availability to support CADCA's signature events.

• Must reside in Kansas.
