University Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and nurture relationships within a designated portfolio of universities, acting as the primary liaison for MISUMI.

• Cultivate and sustain partnerships with faculty members, laboratory personnel, and student organizations (such as robotics teams, Formula SAE, and capstone projects).

• Develop and implement engagement strategies tailored to each institution, which may include workshops, curriculum integration, and project assistance.

• Foster continuous engagement by discovering new opportunities and enhancing MISUMI's presence at each university.

• Serve as a reliable technical consultant on component selection, system design, and the utilization of MISUMI tools.

• Monitor and report on university engagement, adoption, and the progress of relationship development.

• Establish and maintain multi-tiered relationships within each institution to ensure the longevity of program initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or design engineering.

• Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent).

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.

• Experience collaborating with student teams, academic programs, or training environments is advantageous.
