This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in the technical sales strategy for opportunities related to upgrades in conventional nuclear controls.
• Oversee technical evaluations that contribute to the growth of nuclear controls orders and the opportunity pipeline.
• Analyze customer specifications and requests for proposals.
• Aid in defining standardized offerings for non-safety-related upgrades in nuclear controls.
• Support technical discussions during pre-sales and strategic deal development.
• Offer technical insights regarding GE Vernova products and services.
• Gather customer feedback and address technical questions related to submitted proposals.
• Perform site surveys of existing systems.
• Showcase case studies, demonstrations, and product solutions at industry user conferences.
• Provide input to commercial and product management teams.
• Comprehend customer business objectives, operational goals, and control system risks.
• Tailor GE Vernova Software & Control Solutions to fulfill customer requirements.
• Investigate competitors’ regional value propositions and market strategies.
• Assist in developing sales and solution strategies.
• Act as a regional point of reference for technical inquiries in the nuclear industry.
• Build relationships with key clients.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in responding to customer technical specifications.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineering Technical Leaders and Product Design Owners.
• Generate clear, compliant, and competitive technical responses.
• Define engineering efforts and material requirements.
• Take ownership of the Technical Application Guide for nuclear controls applications.
• Create and sustain Technical Application Guides that encompass engineering design efforts, material/hardware specifications, proposal language, and technical quoting limits.
• Assist in the commercialization of new nuclear controls product designs.
• Promote continuous improvement of Technical Application Guides through project reviews with commercial, project management, engineering, and field service teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in control system applications or controls project execution.
• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in the nuclear sector.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Experience in supporting modernization or control system upgrade projects in nuclear power plants.
• Knowledge in plant operations and control system design for conventional nuclear power plant systems.
• Familiarity with relevant nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge and experience with GE Vernova Mark VIe / EX2100e Control Systems.
• Extensive experience in technical application and proposal engineering.
• Strong comprehension of control system architecture, instrumentation, HMI systems, cyber security, and integration principles.
• Capacity to interpret technical specifications and create practical engineering responses.
• Exceptional attention to detail in the development of technical proposals.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaborative abilities with internal technical and commercial teams.
• Proven track record of meeting established goals and metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a matrix management setting.
• Experience in interacting with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Strong influence, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong process discipline along with solid analytical skills.
• Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort in working across various engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
