This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the technical leader for Marvell’s switching, PHY, and processor SoC products, with an emphasis on hardware components.
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support to Avnet's clientele.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Marvell networking products and their appropriate applications.
• Analyze customer technical requirements/specifications and design optimal solutions based on Marvell technology.
• Engage in field assessments of intricate hardware/software challenges and replicate these in the Marvell laboratory.
• Offer software and system-level hardware technical assistance, which includes Linux BSP, U-Boot bootloader, device drivers, and board design troubleshooting.
• Conduct reviews of schematics.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve customer issues or bugs utilizing low-level debuggers and boot sequencing techniques.
• Support customers in implementing features at the API, system architecture, or platform level.
• Act as a technical intermediary between Avnet FAE and Marvell applications engineering teams for issue escalation and resolution.
• Participate in Marvell AE training sessions.
• Prepare and conduct training for FAEs and/or customers.
• Proficiency in embedded system hardware (Network SOCs, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, XAUI, SGMII, DDR, etc.).
• Experience in programming boot devices such as (IP/NAND) Flash and EEPROMs.
• Familiarity with peripherals including Flash devices (NAND/eMMC/SPI), SDIO, HS USB, GE, Serial, I2C, SPI, etc.
• Competence in debugging using protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark) and Ethernet Traffic Generators/Testers (e.g., IXIA).
• Strong background in Ethernet networking, encompassing TSN, AVB, IEEE 1588, TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP, etc.
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work autonomously for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as necessary.
• Capability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment and discretion.
• Previous experience in Applications / Field Applications Engineering is advantageous.
• 6-9 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and relevant experience.
• 4-7 years of experience with a master's degree.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical discipline.
