This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in pre-sales technical discussions with clients to facilitate strategic deal development.
• Offer technical expertise on GE Vernova products and services related to nuclear controls.
• Gather customer feedback and address technical questions concerning submitted proposals.
• Perform site surveys of current systems.
• Showcase case studies, demonstrations, and product solutions at industry user conferences.
• Provide insights to commercial and product management teams regarding nuclear control solutions.
• Analyze clients’ business objectives, operational goals, and control system risks.
• Tailor GE Vernova Software & Control Solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Investigate competitors’ regional offerings and market strategies.
• Contribute to successful sales and solution strategies.
• Act as a regional reference for technical inquiries related to the nuclear industry controls product line.
• Lead cross-functional application teams in response to customer technical specifications for conventional nuclear and non-safety-related control upgrades.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineering Technical Leaders and Product Design Owners on technical responses.
• Determine engineering effort and material needs.
• Oversee the definition of the Technical Application Guide for nuclear controls applications.
• Develop and maintain Technical Application Guides that outline engineering design efforts, material/hardware definitions, proposal language, and technical quoting limits.
• Assist in the commercialization of new nuclear controls product designs.
• Promote the ongoing improvement of Technical Application Guides through project reviews involving commercial, project management, engineering, and field service teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 10 years of relevant industry experience with control system applications or execution of controls projects.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the nuclear industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Experience in supporting modernization or control system upgrade projects at nuclear power plants.
• Familiarity with plant operations and control system design for conventional nuclear power plant systems.
• Understanding of pertinent nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge and experience with GE Vernova Mark VIe / EX2100e Control Systems.
• Extensive experience in technical application and proposal engineering.
• Strong grasp of control system architecture, instrumentation, HMI systems, cyber security, and integration principles.
• Capacity to interpret technical specifications and formulate practical engineering responses.
• Excellent attention to detail in the development of technical proposals.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong collaborative skills with both internal technical and commercial teams.
• Proven ability to meet defined goals and metrics.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix management setting.
• Experience in engaging with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Strong influencing, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Disciplined in processes, with strong analytical capabilities.
• Solid technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort in working across various engineering disciplines and with diverse stakeholders.
