This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create and maintain interactive media, prototypes, and applications for RedT Kids' Media utilizing Unity and C#.
• Convert creative ideas, designs, and storyboards into refined Unity experiences.
• Develop interaction, UI, state, and data systems using clean, reusable code.
• Incorporate animation, audio, visual effects, scene flow, input, and other experience-driven features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, animators, and developers to integrate assets and realize experiences.
• Work within established Unity projects and codebases.
• Diagnose bugs, interaction challenges, performance issues, and build failures.
• Analyze and enhance responsiveness, memory usage, loading times, frame rates, and stability.
• Assist in deployment and testing across Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and WebGL.
• Utilize Git/version control and engage in code reviews, quality assurance, and collaborative development practices.
• Assess effort and provide updates regarding progress, risks, blockers, and technical limitations.
• Support Enable Education simulations, interactive training applications, and various learning experiences.
• Suggest enhancements to make products more engaging, reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Over 4 years of professional experience with Unity, including Unity GUI, asset bundles, and materials/shaders.
• Proven experience deploying Unity applications for PC, macOS, Android, iOS, and web browsers (WebGL).
• Strong expertise in C# and JavaScript programming languages.
• Experience in developing innovative strategies to engage end users through gaming and simulation.
• Ability to maintain and adhere to test plans for bug resolution and application enhancement.
• High proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, reusable code, design patterns, and sustainable development practices.
• Capability to effectively troubleshoot and enhance an existing codebase.
• Availability to work during core collaboration hours of 10:00 AM–3:00 PM EST.
• Part-time availability of up to 25 hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on project needs.
