Underwriting Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Attend and engage in all team meetings.

• Conduct monthly Quality Control audits on each team member.

• Oversee the loss mitigation pipeline and pinpoint any deficiencies in our review process.

• Examine the foreclosure sale date report to ensure that all files with foreclosure sale dates are appropriately addressed.

• Ensure that daily reports are generated and accessible to management.

• Respond to inbound phone inquiries, return voicemails, address escalations, and fulfill all other requests within 24 hours of receipt.

• Manage all written and verbal communication professionally with homeowners, clients, investors, insurers, subordinate lien holders, real estate agents, consumer credit counseling services, and foreclosure attorneys.

• Assist in training new hires, including auditing all files during their initial training period.

• Capable of training and underwriting according to all investor guidelines.

• Able to adapt to changes proactively and manage other essential tasks as assigned.

• Perform any additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Collections, Loss Mitigation, or related fields in mortgage banking, mortgage servicing, or real estate.

• Proficiency in all Loss Mitigation workout types and familiarity with all agency guidelines (FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC).

• Skilled in MS Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

• Experience with LPS/MSP systems.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting as well as collaboratively within a team while maintaining a focus on results.

• Strong multi-tasking abilities.

• Capacity to develop a workout plan that serves the best interests of the homeowner, investor, insurer, and client.
