Underwriting Product Director – Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic insights and guidance for the underwriting division concerning the assigned Line of Business (LOB).

• Oversee, investigate, and manage the ownership, execution, strategy, administration, and/or development of the most intricate products and programs at the enterprise level.

• Develop and disseminate best practices and underwriting guidance for the assigned LOB across the entire enterprise.

• Act as the foremost technical expert, consultant, and mentor within Corporate Underwriting, addressing inquiries related to the assigned LOB.

• Manage and direct the workload and performance of the designated Underwriting team.

• Function as a strategic collaborator with branch offices on underwriting-related issues for the assigned area.

• Shape strategies through proficient communication of underwriting recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in an insurance or business-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A decade of experience in commercial property and casualty underwriting, including a minimum of five years in commercial staff underwriting within the applicable line of business.

• Possession of insurance certifications, such as CPCU, AU, or CIC.

• Prior experience in a leadership role.

• Extensive knowledge of nationwide underwriting methods, terminology, policies, products, and forms.

• Excellent underwriting judgment and decision-making abilities.

• Strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategies to enhance them.

• Proficient in computer software applications and the Microsoft Office Suite.
