This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Underwrite complex formal applications and informal quote requests with the capability to assess and make final decisions independently within the established approval authority guidelines.
• Evaluate intricate information and interpret it to achieve thorough medical and financial assessments in accordance with company protocols and policies.
• Successfully navigate change, resolve conflicts, and negotiate favorable outcomes.
• Possess a holistic view of work processes and comprehend the implications of actions and decisions on other areas.
• Must be organized and capable of managing a substantial caseload efficiently.
• Exhibit exceptional technical underwriting expertise and skills.
• Ability to train both internal and external stakeholders on underwriting subjects.
• Capable of independently and effectively engaging with a sophisticated field force catering to an upscale market.
• Experience in the brokerage distribution marketplace.
• Over 5 years of life underwriting experience demonstrating proficiency and experience with larger face amount cases.
• Required approval authority of up to $7,000,000.
• FLMI, FALU, and/or CLU designations are preferred, or progress towards obtaining these designations is expected.
