This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee the servicing of both new and renewal accounts, ensuring compliance with company and carrier guidelines.
• Generate invoices and policy documentation.
• Assist in underwriting and rating processes.
• Detect and rectify processing issues.
• Deliver professional support to agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Underwrite renewal business with limited supervision and escalate any exceptions as necessary.
• Clarify liability and program coverages to clients and potential clients.
• Mentor underwriting clerks and policy typists.
• Evaluate policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations; address discrepancies and facilitate corrections.
• Rate both new and renewal business utilizing approved methodologies and tools.
• Manage account documentation and retention processes.
• Process requests for policy servicing, endorsements, audits, carrier inquiries, certificates, premium finance notices, and cancellations.
• Invoice and process new business and renewal binders, as well as premium-bearing endorsements and cancellations.
• Establish and route new submissions within the clearance system.
• Generate cancellation and non-renewal notifications.
• Maintain underwriting files, pending/suspense systems, diary systems, and account files.
• Execute additional duties that support underwriting operations and service obligations.
• A high school diploma or equivalent education is mandatory.
• An associate degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
• A state-specific insurance license is necessary.
• Familiarity with commercial multi-line underwriting concepts, coverage analysis, and rating fundamentals.
• Capability to interpret policy forms, endorsements, audits, cancellations, and carrier guidelines.
• Skill in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications, Delphi, Microsoft Word, DocuCorp, and Rackley ISO Rating Software.
• Strong skills in documentation and file management.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, track pending items, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
