Underwriting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather and assess underwriting information from brokers, agents, and internal systems.

• Conduct preliminary risk assessments utilizing established guidelines and rating tools.

• Create proposal summaries and coverage comparisons for the review of underwriters.

• Aid in the policy issuance process by verifying the accuracy and completeness of data.

• Oversee and track submission statuses, ensuring timely follow-up on any outstanding information.

• Maintain orderly records and ensure compliance with both regulatory and company standards.

• Assist underwriters in evaluating, analyzing, and preparing insurance submissions.

• Support underwriting decision-making with moderate supervision.

• Contribute to enhancing operational efficiency within the underwriting department.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, Business, or a related discipline.

• 0–2 years of experience in insurance, underwriting support, or a relevant analytical position.

• Preferred exposure to the property and casualty insurance sector.

• Capability to interpret data and recognize risk patterns.

• Strong attention to detail in documentation and calculations.

• Clear and professional communication with stakeholders.

• Familiarity with underwriting systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• No specific certifications, licenses, or registrations are necessary.
