Underwriter – Large Contract Surety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the production and underwriting of both new and renewal Surety business

• Managing a substantial portfolio of key accounts

• Providing internal marketing and production assistance to support cross-selling initiatives

• Implementing the external marketing strategy

• Ensuring compliance with underwriting rules and guidelines

• Building and nurturing relationships with agencies and brokers

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Insurance, Market Facing areas, Finance, Accounting, or Banking

• At least 2 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support

• Familiarity with the insurance industry and its regulatory landscape

• Comprehension of underwriting philosophy and guidelines

• Excellent negotiation abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
