
Ultrasound Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Esaote ultrasound systems.
• Deliver professional, prompt, and effective technical services to foster customer relationships.
• Take ownership of customer satisfaction outcomes and service quality metrics within the designated territory.
• Acknowledge service requests within 15 minutes and schedule service activities within 24 hours.
• Achieve response time, service call completion, productivity, and utilization goals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance within 45 days of the target date.
• Identify equipment issues and independently complete routine service calls.
• Escalate complicated technical issues and work with Technical Support for resolution.
• Utilize and maintain electrical testing tools and service equipment.
• Manage replacement parts and service materials; return defective components with RMA documentation.
• Support Technical Support with insights on field failures, recurring problems, and priority customer locations.
• Complete and update service calls on a daily basis and submit weekly reports.
• Maintain precise service documentation and customer records.
• Oversee travel and business expenses while enhancing service efficiency.
• Provide backup depot repair assistance when necessary.
• Collaborate with Sales and Applications teams on installed-base programs, demonstrations, trade shows, and customer events.
• Identify customer needs and relay qualified opportunities to Sales.
• Share feedback on customer experiences, equipment performance, competitive activity, and market insights.
• Engage in company training and professional development activities.
• Keep updated knowledge of Esaote products, service procedures, and medical device service practices.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
• Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent military technical training and experience.
• Basic understanding of electronic technology, electrical systems, and troubleshooting principles.
• Skilled in using oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, multimeters, soldering tools, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Capability to diagnose technical issues and perform routine repairs independently.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and time management abilities.
• Ability to take responsibility for customer satisfaction and territory service performance.
• Effectively communicate with customers, clinical staff, and internal teams.
• Manage multiple service priorities and meet utilization expectations.
• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest and nearby regions, including overnight travel.
• Ability to work independently from a home-based location within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and ability to fulfill company driving requirements.
• Preferred: prior field service experience supporting medical devices, diagnostic imaging systems, ultrasound equipment, or complex electromechanical healthcare technology.
• Preferred: experience collaborating directly with healthcare professionals in clinical settings.
• Preferred: experience managing a geographic service territory and achieving service performance targets.
