• Design the aesthetics of the game's user interface, focusing on composition, visual hierarchy, typography, color, and animation.
• Assist in development by crafting menus, interaction flows from wireframes, and storyboards to facilitate in-game implementation. Familiarity with Unreal Engine is advantageous.
• Create engaging and satisfying experiences for players by organizing and structuring information within the interface, ensuring easy access to necessary features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance game features with a focus on the end-user experience.
• Contribute to strategic UI design and UX decisions, from the game's launch through to the conclusion of a session.
• Strong visual design sensibilities with an expert-level grasp of composition, typography, readability, and interactive UI design for games.
• Previous game development experience is essential, supported by a portfolio showcasing shipped or production-ready game UI/UX implementations.
• Excellent understanding of what constitutes good UX and an intuitive player experience.
• Experience in creating appealing transitions and animations within a UI context.
• Ability to work independently and iterate from initial sketches and compositions to final execution.
• A collaborative spirit that embraces and enhances provided direction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, After Effects, etc.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine (UMG) workflows.
