Tutoring Instructional Designer, Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality onboarding modules for literacy and math tutors utilizing authoring tools like Easygenerator or Rise.

• Implement evidence-based instructional design principles to guarantee effective training that supports long-term retention.

• Script, film, and edit literacy video content with tools such as Descript, Camtasia, Vidyard, or Loom.

• Ensure all video assets are accompanied by closed captioning and transcripts to adhere to accessibility standards.

• Convert Science of Reading research and literacy curricula into applicable training content.

• Develop supporting materials like Google Slides, knowledge checks, job aids, and guides.

• Review and revise existing training materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with program protocols.

• Utilize stakeholder data and performance metrics to pinpoint gaps and implement data-driven enhancements.

• Rapidly iterate and refine content to align with project timelines and the evolving needs of the program.

• Collaborate with literacy experts to convert key concepts into engaging instructional content.

• Work alongside the Talent team to ensure training initiatives are in line with organizational objectives.

• Maintain a consistent voice, instructional methodology, and visual identity throughout all learning materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of instructional design experience focusing on asynchronous adult learning within the educational publishing, edtech, or related sectors.

• Demonstrated experience in K-8 literacy instruction along with a comprehensive, working knowledge of the Science of Reading (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension).

• Practical experience with authoring and video editing tools.

• Proficient in Google Suite and familiar with AI productivity tools like Gemini or similar platforms.
