This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the VP of Human Resources to design and implement NFPA’s strategy for learning and organizational development.
• Develop an annual strategy for learning and organizational development aimed at fostering talent growth, engagement, and retention.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in the area of workplace learning.
• Perform organizational needs assessments to pinpoint skill gaps and create recommendations for learning priorities.
• Create and execute impactful learning programs that encompass the entire employee lifecycle.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective content management and accurate reporting.
• Work in partnership with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to provide top-notch learning content.
• Embed NFPA’s organizational values in programs and leadership practices.
• Design and present engaging solutions through instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training formats.
• Lead live and virtual workshops, lunch-and-learn sessions, and team development activities.
• Support internal communication efforts and advocate for a culture of learning by promoting available resources.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Psychology, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or organizational effectiveness.
• Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, ATD CPLP, or CPTD are preferred.
• Essential experience in providing coaching and mentoring for performance enhancement and career development.
• Predictive Index certification is desirable or equivalent experience in motivation and engagement assessments and practices.
• High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and exceptional collaboration abilities are required.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, along with the adaptability and creativity needed to manage multiple projects in a dynamic setting.
• Proven track record in designing and facilitating learning programs, especially for remote teams.
• Proficient in Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, LinkedIn Learning, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and strategies for behavior change.
