This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take responsibility for Fanvue’s content policy: establish clear regulations that balance creator autonomy with platform security.
• Transform policy into actionable guidance for moderation, tools, and automation processes.
• Monitor emerging behaviors, unique cases, and product modifications; revise policy as necessary.
• Conduct a streamlined policy review process that can withstand audits.
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Moderation teams.
• Create documentation that is user-friendly for moderators and robust enough for outside examination.
• Contribute to the broader Trust & Safety initiative within a small, agile team.
• Over 5 years of experience in content policy or Trust & Safety policy within a technology company.
• Familiarity with content moderation systems and the correlation between policy and actual enforcement results.
• Background in ML-driven moderation: formulating classifier-ready policies and assessing performance.
• Preferred: experience with LLM-based moderation (prompting for classification).
• Exceptional and practical writing abilities with the capacity to make nuanced decisions.
• Utilize data to evaluate the quality and impact of policies.
• Strong judgment in uncertain situations and principled decision-making with incomplete information.
• Confident in cross-functional collaboration without formal authority; proactive with a strong sense of ownership.
• Valuable knowledge of the Online Safety Act, EU DSA, EU AI Act, and other relevant frameworks.
• Advantageous: experience with user-generated content or adult content platforms.
