Treasury Assistant Vice President

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gibraltar.

📋 Description

• Oversee and expand the fixed income investment portfolio of the Treasury, involving the sourcing, assessment, and execution of investments to maximize returns within established risk parameters.

• Evaluate and balance the risk and reward associated with the Treasury's investment and structuring endeavors, adhering to the Group's Risk Appetite and Financial Limits.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and counterparties to structure investment and yield products for the Treasury.

• Develop and design yield, hedging, and investment products that reference Bitcoin.

• Execute and manage over-the-counter (OTC) Bitcoin transactions and foreign exchange (FX) flows, ensuring strong counterparty relationships and optimal execution.

• Utilize trading discipline and market expertise in the Treasury's investment, hedging, and execution functions.

• Identify and alleviate risks related to credit, market, currency, and interest rates.

• Contribute to Treasury Management Information, encompassing investment performance, profit and loss (P&L), and risk reporting for senior committees such as the ALCO.

• Propel Xapo Bank's Bitcoin-first strategy while integrating traditional finance and fixed income investment approaches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred qualifications include CFA, CIMA, or an equivalent certification.

• Demonstrated experience in fixed income investments, encompassing the sourcing, evaluation, and management of a fixed income portfolio.

• Proven track record in structuring Treasury products, ideally with experience in Bitcoin-referenced structures.

• Strong background in OTC Bitcoin and FX trading/flow.

• Previous trading experience with a solid grasp of market execution and price discovery.

• Comprehensive understanding of risk-reward dynamics and the Group's Risk Appetite.

• Innovative and commercially aware approach to developing investment and yield-enhancing solutions.

• Must possess experience in cryptocurrency.

• Strong foundation in financial principles, investment management, and treasury operations.

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of investment and market-related risks with experience in crafting risk mitigation strategies.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and reporting.
