Treasury Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assists the Finance Department in carrying out specialized administrative, accounting, and financial reporting duties pertaining to the CNI treasury function.

• Aids the Controller with liquidity management by executing treasury functions such as bank reconciliations, processing electronic payment requests, monitoring and forecasting cash flow, and analyzing bank fees.

• Prepares treasury-related reports and undertakes additional accounting tasks.

• Executes daily cash positioning activities, which include managing daily liquidity across various accounts and preparing monthly bank reports.

• Cultivates strong relationships and maintains open communication with banks and other financial service providers to enhance the treasury function.

• Oversees the opening, maintenance, and closure of bank accounts.

• Guarantees the precise and timely execution of wire transfers and payment processing.

• Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, such as quarterly bank compliance certificates.

• Provides data for external and internal audits by monitoring cash management activities to ensure compliance.

• Aids in assessing investment opportunities to maximize returns on excess funds.

• Identifies opportunities to automate workflows and improve data accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required.

• Two to five (2-5) years of experience in treasury, finance, accounting, or similar roles.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Skilled in TMSs and ERP systems.

• Knowledgeable in accounting and treasury principles.

• Experience with Costpoint and banking portals is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as MBA, CTP, CPA, or CFA are preferred.
