Senior Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the accounting and financial reporting for the corporate business unit by executing all accounting tasks, month-end journal entries, month-end reporting and analysis, along with balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Oversee the intercompany accounting process across the platform to ensure that accounts are balanced and accurately reflected in CHS's consolidated financial reports.

• Manage the application and renewal process for company-wide insurance policies, serving as the primary contact for completing annual insurance audits.

• Engage in the annual financial statement audit by conducting account reconciliations and preparing audit work papers for all operating companies.

• Assist with company-wide accounts payable processing by maximizing the capabilities of the Ramp A/P automation software system.

• Aid in the creation, documentation, and enforcement of internal control policies and procedures across the company.

• Provide support during the accounting integration process for new operating companies.

• Execute special projects as directed by company leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• Preferred but not required: Relevant certifications such as CMA or CPA.

• A minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience as a staff accountant with a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Practical experience with accounting software programs such as Sage Intacct and QuickBooks; familiarity with ServiceTitan is an advantage.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including skills in creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, nested 'if' statements, and logic formulas is expected.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams is preferred.
