This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time and work overtime, including a variable work schedule as necessary to achieve business objectives.
• Serves as a safety role model, fostering and acknowledging safe practices among colleagues while intervening when unsafe behaviors occur. Complies with all safety protocols and standards.
• Identifies shortcomings in safety standards and potential risks, implements effective risk mitigation strategies, and provides recommendations to senior technical staff and management.
• Consistently demonstrates and promotes integrity, professional initiative, and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality of work. May assist with or conduct basic quality audits.
• Executes intermediate-level maintenance and installation tasks on wind turbines as required, proficiently using various tools, including specialized calibration, hydraulic, and power tools.
• Records tasks as necessary and inputs data into the company system, such as SAP.
• Collects information regarding turbine performance and issues, may diagnose, recommend, and implement solutions for intermediate routine problems, seeking assistance for issues outside of their skill set to ensure proper resolution.
• Adheres to a structured problem-solving approach for troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks, utilizing diagnostic tools (e.g., basic fluke meter functions, hydraulic pressure gauge).
• Initiates and executes most work tasks with minimal supervision, following defined instructions and maintenance schedules, and completes assigned plans as directed by higher-level technical staff.
• Actively fosters a healthy team environment by helping teammates achieve their goals and mentoring junior technical staff. Promotes team spirit and collaboration, supports change initiatives, and seeks improvement opportunities in job-related processes and procedures while communicating effectively to implement improvements using the appropriate control management protocols.
• Interfaces with customers and may address customer inquiries, referring complex questions to higher-level technical staff or management. Maintains a professional customer focus at all times.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education (e.g., wind school, trade school, college) or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the wind industry, with electrical experience and the ability to read electrical drawings.
• Proven experience and understanding of intermediate-level power tools, including hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools (e.g., fluke meter functions and hydraulic pressure gauge).
• Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols (e.g., Confined Space, energy isolation).
• Capable of completing detailed component inspections and reporting findings.
• Valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a Passport.
• Strong attention to detail, effective interpersonal and customer relation skills, and the ability to collaborate with employees at all professional levels while respectfully following supervision and supporting initiatives.
• Basic computer operation skills, familiarity with internet-based program navigation, and the ability to generate and interpret computer data.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics to validate work activities and ensure risks are identified and mitigated.

• Proficiency in reading, comprehending, and writing in English.
• Capability to climb stairs and ladders ranging from 60 to 125 meters in height, lift, push/pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, and endure prolonged periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
• Ability to grip and manually manipulate items such as hand tools and turbine parts, with comfort working in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 100 meters.
• Ability to effectively participate in all training courses, including high-angle rescue training.
• Periodic walking, competent hearing and using close-range radios, and having an efficient field of vision, including visual depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors.
• Capable of working in physically demanding and inclement weather conditions.
