Traveling Wind Troubleshooter Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +22 more states.

📋 Description

• Travel to various wind farm locations across the U.S. and Canada for job assignments.

• Diagnose issues on different systems to guarantee the proper functioning of wind turbines.

• Cultivate advanced troubleshooting skills in partnership with knowledgeable individuals.

• Perform maintenance tasks and assist with component replacements as needed.

• Lead small teams while maintaining documentation of technical and safety-related matters.

• Provide training to others in executing service work.

• Work competently and safely under guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of practical troubleshooting experience with Siemens Gamesa (G114, G126, G132, SG145), Vestas (3.X / 4.X), or other prominent wind turbine models.

• Willingness to work an 8-week on, 1-week off schedule.

• Physically capable of safely climbing wind turbines that are 90m+ (300+ feet) high.

• Openness and ability to travel frequently.

• Capacity to drive or travel for up to 11 hours per day when necessary.

• Good vision, with corrective lenses if required.

• Strong understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.

• Maintenance experience, including familiarity with grease guns, filter changes, and similar services.

• Valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
