
Traveling Elite Field Service Technician – Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Diagnose, service, and repair industrial control panels and electrical control systems.
• Execute wiring, unwiring, component replacements, and field modifications on electrical and control equipment.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related challenges employing effective troubleshooting methods.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and system testing on client equipment.
• Commission equipment and ensure proper system functionality after installation or repairs.
• Support PLC-based control systems by diagnosing faults and aiding in startup processes.
• Maintain precise service documentation, reports, and parts usage within company databases.
• Clearly communicate technical insights and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
• Foster and uphold a safe work environment while complying with all company and client safety protocols.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians as necessary.
• Establish and nurture strong customer relationships through professional service and technical proficiency.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on field service experience in supporting industrial or commercial electrical and control systems.
• Extensive experience in wiring, unwiring, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial control panels.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems within an industrial setting.
• Basic understanding of PLC controls and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in the water and wastewater industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities, with the capacity to work independently at client locations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and smart devices for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Capability to identify and address potential safety issues.
• Ability to secure necessary customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.) if required.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical examination.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
