Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on wind turbines, which includes the repair and replacement of electronic components, motors, brushes, and other related parts.

• Conduct inspections and diagnostics of both internal and external components of the turbine.

• Determine root causes of reported issues and document findings to facilitate continuous improvement.

• Provide service solutions that encompass operations, SCADA systems, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance support.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and GE Vernova on-site.

• Foster strong working relationships with customers and effectively communicate technical information.

• Collaborate with the Remote Operations Center, sourcing, and engineering teams to address technical issues on-site.

• Accurately complete technical reports, service records, and business documentation in a timely manner.

• Adhere to work instructions, regulatory requirements, and Environmental Health and Safety standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, or Mechanical).

• At least 4 years of field service experience in wind turbines or wind project execution.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for customer interactions and technical documentation.

• Capability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision.

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.

• Experience with SQDC frameworks, quality audits, Kaizen, or Performance Development Review activities is preferred.

• Experience in onshore wind service operations is preferred.
