
Traveling Construction Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan, direct, or coordinate activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Engage in the conceptual development of a construction project while overseeing its organization, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and completion.
• Assist the Project Manager with daily technical tasks necessary for planning and successfully executing the construction project requirements.
• Manage job controls to ensure adherence to technical specifications, contracts, budgets, schedules, and BIM coordination.
• Provide technical assistance in construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and conduct constructability reviews to guarantee successful project completion.
• Compile daily logs, project technical design submissions, essential reports, and document inspection and testing outcomes.
• Monitor the daily progress of craft and trade subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and contractual obligations.
• Address subcontractor RFI’s by reviewing the technical requirements and coordinating with the engineer of record as needed.
• Review construction subcontractors’ implementation plans, which include project management, procurement, safety, quality plans, and general means and methods to identify potential risks.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning assigned projects, including establishing baseline cost, schedule, and cash flow.
• Support the Project Manager with subcontracting strategies, subcontractor development, estimating, buyout, and change management activities.
• Aid the Project Manager in creating and managing the project risk register to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
• Oversee project master schedule planning and implement daily activities while supporting the management of three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Take the lead in obtaining necessary permits, environmental approvals, and licenses.
• Champion a robust safety and quality program on the project.
• Lead the commissioning, closeout, and turnover process.
• US Citizenship is mandatory, along with a current and valid US Passport.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Procore or similar management software is advantageous.
• Experience with TAKT planning is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients.
• Technical knowledge and application expertise related to built environment infrastructure, including buildings and infrastructure.
• Proven experience in the construction industry is required.
