Travel Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding customer service by comprehensively understanding and addressing the travel needs, preferences, and budgets of clients.

• Stay informed about current travel trends and destination insights to provide tailored recommendations.

• Maintain expertise in travel packages, flights, accommodations, travel insurance, and related services.

• Develop personalized travel itineraries for both individuals and groups.

• Create, modify, and cancel pre-travel reservations as needed.

• Manage bookings for flights, accommodations, and various activities.

• Ensure that all reservations are accurate and align with customer requirements.

• Recommend budget-friendly travel options that match client expectations.

• Promote and upsell travel insurance, guided tours, excursions, and other travel-related products.

• Address and resolve customer issues and concerns effectively.

• Follow up with clients to collect feedback and foster long-term relationships.

• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.

• Proactively engage with existing clients to understand their unique needs and challenges.

• Monitor industry trends, competitor actions, and emerging market opportunities.

• Utilize market insights to tailor offerings to meet client needs.

• Set and surpass sales targets consistently.

• Manage client bookings using Plex software.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong understanding of travel destinations, airlines, hotels, and travel products.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Active listening skills.

• A customer-focused approach aimed at fulfilling client needs and ensuring satisfaction.

• Proven sales and negotiation abilities.

• History of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

• Familiarity with travel booking systems and software is advantageous.

• Capacity to handle unforeseen challenges and resolve issues efficiently.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Attention to detail is essential for ensuring accurate and organized travel arrangements.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, structured call center environment.

• Self-motivated and team-oriented.

• Capacity to work over 40 hours per week.

• Convert an average of 10% of calls into paid bookings each pay period.

• Manage an average of 2.0 calls per hour during each pay period.

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, PLEX, Executer, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and on a computer.
