Travel Clinical Educator, Surgical Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Instruct and lead skills labs and clinical training for assigned Stepful cohorts

• Demonstrate correct techniques, offer live, step-by-step guidance, and oversee practice sessions

• Evaluate student proficiency and provide feedback and remediation as necessary

• Ensure students achieve skill mastery prior to progressing to clinical rotations

• Collaborate with hospital preceptors to align experiences with program objectives

• Record student progress and communicate clinical outcomes

• Represent Stepful during client and partner calls, assisting the solutions team with implementation

• Offer insights to improve the experience for both students and partners

• Aid in client onboarding and program implementation between 11-week cohorts

• Act as an on-site representative of Stepful at clinical locations

• Work in partnership with internal teams and external partners between cohorts

• Report to the Program Director, Surgical Services

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel to various clinical sites across the United States

• Active Surgical Tech certification (CST or NCCT)

• Over 3 years of experience teaching Surgical Technology in a lab or educational setting

• Practical experience as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Capacity to be hands-on, resourceful, and committed to accomplishing tasks in fast-paced, dynamic environments

• Current BLS certification

• CRCST certification and/or experience instructing in Sterile Processing is advantageous

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant healthcare field is a plus

• Experience with competency-based education models is a plus

• Experience supporting diverse and underserved student populations is a plus

• Familiarity with NCCT certification requirements is a plus

• Previous involvement in online or hybrid educational programs is a plus

• Ability to confirm if employment visa sponsorship will be necessary
