This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +11 more states.
• Oversee and cultivate the business travel coordinator and expense processing team.
• Ensure smooth operations along with proper oversight of cost-allowability.
• Regularly update and maintain the travel policy and its related training curriculum.
• Monitor government audits and information requests, tracking receipt, internal assignments, due dates, status, and resolutions.
• Assist in scheduling walkthroughs and system demonstrations.
• Compile necessary data, materials, and system reports to support audits.
• Respond to invoice and payment audit requests by identifying supporting data, generating system reports, and drafting and routing responses for approval.
• Prepare periodic accounting journal entries for the monthly Business Travel Account (BTA) cost distribution.
• Advocate for, communicate, and uphold the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
• An Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Prior team lead or supervisory experience is necessary.
• Proficient understanding of FAR Part 31 unallowable costs is required.
