This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Monitor and trace shipments across designated transportation routes to guarantee punctual delivery and compliance with routing strategies.
• Oversee carrier portals, emails, and EDI notifications for updates on shipment status, exceptions, and service-related concerns.
• Refresh shipment milestones within TMS and ERP systems.
• Assist or execute booking arrangements in line with routing guidelines.
• Expedite urgent or overdue orders.
• Detect transportation exceptions and initiate corrective measures through established escalation procedures.
• Record escalations, root causes, and resolutions in case or ticketing systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis on service failures utilizing data examination and process mapping.
• Identify systemic transportation challenges and suggest corrective measures.
• Review import customs documentation and create clearance instructions for brokers facilitating shipments into Canada.
• Aid shipment execution alongside Trade Compliance, Logistics, and external partners.
• Collaborate with Clinical Supply Planning, Master Planning, Country Clinical Operations, Logistics, Trade Compliance, and external partners.
• Address internal and external inquiries via email, phone, and chat.
• Relay shipment updates, risks, and resolution strategies to stakeholders.
• Assist in routing strategies and management of lead times.
• Act as a transportation subject matter expert for initiatives and projects.
• Support quarterly business reviews with carriers and business units.
• Drive tasks to completion autonomously and navigate through ambiguity.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to the growth of the team.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
• A minimum of 3+ years of related experience with a degree.
• Candidates without a degree should possess 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP, TMS, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Understanding how transportation activities influence broader supply chain results.
• Self-motivated, capable of mentoring others and contributing to team growth.
