This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Design and execute strategic transportation plans aimed at optimizing delivery routes, minimizing costs, and enhancing efficiency.

• Assess transportation processes to pinpoint areas that require improvement.

• Build and sustain relationships with carriers, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance in relation to service level agreements.

• Identify and source new carriers and freight partners.

• Evaluate transportation expenses and implement initiatives for cost reduction, such as route optimization, freight consolidation, and fuel efficiency programs.

• Work in conjunction with inventory control teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and facilitate timely replenishment.

• Manage inbound shipments with suppliers and manufacturers, while overseeing lead times.

• Guarantee adherence to transportation regulations, safety standards, environmental policies, and industry norms.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports that monitor on-time delivery, transportation costs, and carrier effectiveness.

• Guide, mentor, train, and assist transportation coordinators and logistics professionals.

• Cultivate a collaborative work atmosphere centered on organizational objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in transportation management, ideally within the heavy-duty truck parts sector.

• In-depth knowledge of transportation operations, logistics processes, and supply chain management concepts.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to interpret data and make informed strategic choices.

• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), route optimization software, and other logistics technologies.

• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.

• Ability to establish and nurture relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

• Proven leadership skills with experience in developing and guiding high-performing teams.

• Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance standards.

• Strong organizational skills paired with attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple projects concurrently.
