This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Convert engineering ideas into high-quality, construction-ready plans.
• Assist in roadway, drainage, sidewalk, trail, and multimodal transportation initiatives across Florida.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers utilizing OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.
• Create models, plans, exhibits, and project deliverables.
• Support projects from initial design phases through to the final plan production stage.
• Translate survey data, engineering concepts, and project specifications into cohesive construction documents.
• Design roadway models and prepare construction plans.
• Generate plan sheets, cross sections, details, exhibits, and project graphics.
• Assist with quantity calculations and construction cost projections.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, utility coordinators, and other team members involved in the project.
• Engage in quality control assessments and uphold project standards.
• Experience in creating transportation or civil engineering construction plans.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of plan production standards.
• Capability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.
• An Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Experience with FDOT roadway design (preferred).
• Familiarity with ProjectWise, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or similar software (preferred).
• Knowledge of roadway, drainage, intersection, sidewalk, trail, or multimodal transportation projects (preferred).
