Transport Procurement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Handle transport requests by clarifying any uncertainties and determining suitable transport options.

• Secure quotes from carrier partners, negotiate pricing, and choose carriers based on vehicle type, routing, lead time, and service quality.

• Adhere to established processes and provide customers with consistent and trustworthy updates.

• Calculate sales prices and proactively present solutions to clients.

• Meticulously log inquiries, rates, and orders in the system while ensuring data integrity.

• Offer insights on carrier performance and assist in enhancing the carrier partner network.

• Collaborate with the team to establish standards and processes based on recurring scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Some background in freight forwarding, dispatching, transport logistics, space purchasing, or a similar field.

• You are organized and efficient, able to maintain a comprehensive overview.

• You enjoy communication, possess negotiation skills, and are capable of making decisions.

• Strong numerical skills: handling prices, margins, and basic calculations is easy for you.

• Proficient in using digital tools (CRM, spreadsheets, TMS, etc.); open to new software and automation.

• Excellent command of written and spoken German.

• Comfortable communicating in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Reliability, ownership, and proactive communication are second nature to you.
