
Transmission Line Engineer – Entry-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Contribute to the design of overhead transmission lines, which includes: developing plans and profiles, providing support for structure placement, and performing basic drafting and design tasks.
• Assist with engineering calculations such as: analyzing sag and tension, and conducting clearance checks.
• Acquire knowledge and use industry-standard software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD).
• Aid in the preparation of engineering drawings, reports, and material lists.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including structural, environmental, and survey departments.
• Engage in field visits and site assessments as required.
• Support quality control procedures and documentation processes.
• A bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internship experience is acceptable).
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 6–12 months.
• A strong interest in transmission line engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with PLS-CADD or similar engineering software is preferred.
• Understanding of basic engineering design principles and standards is preferred.
• Relevant internship or coursework related to power delivery or structural design is preferred.
