Transmission Engineering Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will acquire significant experience in structural engineering.

• You will take the lead on transmission design for large and complex projects, utilizing design software such as PLS-CADD for line design.

• You will produce design documents and drawings for new transmission line initiatives, which include specifications, plan and profile drawings, load trees, structure assemblies and details, stringing charts, foundation drawings, staking sheets, generating bills of materials, and incorporating field mark-ups of project as-built drawings.

• You will delegate tasks to staff, conduct resource leveling to adapt to changes in project workload, and ensure adherence to project deliverable timelines.

• You will facilitate communication and coordination of project activities with internal team members, foster strong relationships, understand the significance of exceptional client service, and interface with vendors under the guidance of your supervisor.

• You will support Primera’s business development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering (a master's degree will give you an edge).

• You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in designing high-voltage transmission lines.

• Being a licensed professional or structural engineer is highly beneficial.

• You possess a strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices such as ASCE, IEEE, NESC, etc.

• You are proficient in business and engineering applications (experience with PLS-CADD is essential; familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Microstation is a plus).
