Translators – Various Languages

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Interpret spoken scenarios such as lectures, discussions, and meetings.

• Utilize technology to transcribe spoken English in specific contexts.

• Review original documents and translate them into the necessary language.

• Refine translated materials.

• Consider cultural nuances between the source and target languages.

• Enable communication with confidentiality and neutrality.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Report directly to the Deputy Program Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience.

• Qualification from a Medical Interpreting Training School.

• Certification from the Foreign Service Institute.

• Online certifications in Legal Translation.

• Certification as a Translation Professional (CPT), AOC ATA Certified, NAJIT Certification, or Certification from the Commission for Healthcare Interpreters.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, Farsi, Ilonggo, Mandarin, Swahili, or Vietnamese.

• Ability to successfully complete a background check; additional checks for specific projects or clients may be necessary.

• Capacity to facilitate communication with confidentiality and neutrality.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Extensive knowledge on a variety of subjects.

• Excellent social awareness, empathy, and attentiveness.

• Ability to retain and recall information while interpreting in real-time.

• Physical endurance and dexterity for prolonged interpretation sessions.

• Effective problem-solving abilities.

• Competence in Microsoft and Adobe software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.

• Capability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to be on-call and respond to job opportunities within 48 hours.

• Capacity to work extended hours and utilize computer and office productivity tools.

• Ability to create a productive and professional workspace.

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including holidays or outside of regular business hours.

• Potential travel for business or professional development may be required.
