Translator, Learning Designer – Localization Project, Portuguese – Brazil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance AI-pretranslated content within Smartcat for precision, fluency, grammar, tone, and natural expression.

• Consistently apply approved terminology across skills, decisions, products, and specialized vocabulary.

• Naturally adapt "buyer-as-hero" and "you" language for Brazilian audiences.

• Reconstruct finalized translations in existing PowerPoint presentations and Articulate Rise modules.

• Test and fix animations, transitions, triggers, timing, and build sequences.

• Address layout challenges arising from Portuguese text expansion.

• Conduct minor image/screenshot text adjustments in PowerPoint.

• Provide assets in a fully presentation-ready condition.

• Work collaboratively with the internal team and other contractors, operating independently towards milestones and engaging in 1-2 weekly check-ins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese with outstanding professional/B2B writing capabilities.

• Strong English reading comprehension and collaboration skills.

• Demonstrated experience in business, sales enablement, corporate learning, or professional localization.

• Comfortable utilizing terminology glossaries and style guides.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, including skills in the Animation Pane and animation troubleshooting.

• Experience with Articulate Rise or comparable authoring tools.

• Excellent attention to detail regarding layout, typography, and visual presentation.

• Consistent availability that overlaps with Eastern Time (GMT-4) / Central European business hours.

• Preferred: experience in localization QA for animated/interactive presentations and B2B sales enablement.
