Translator – Learning Designer, Localization Project (German)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance AI-pretranslated content in Smartcat for precision, fluency, grammar, tone, and authentic German expression.

• Consistently apply approved terminology across skills, decisions, products, and specialized terms.

• Maintain a conversational, evidence-driven, and commercially sharp voice.

• Naturally adapt buyer-as-hero and “you” language for German audiences.

• Reconstruct finalized translations in existing PowerPoint presentations and Articulate Rise modules.

• Test and fix animations, transitions, triggers, timing, and build sequences.

• Address layout challenges caused by German text expansion and lengthy compound nouns.

• Execute light image and screenshot text edits in PowerPoint.

• Provide assets in a fully presentation-ready format.

• Collaborate with the internal team and additional contractors.

• Work independently towards milestones while participating in 1–2 weekly check-ins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level German proficiency with exceptional professional/B2B writing abilities.

• Strong English reading and collaboration skills.

• Demonstrated experience in business, sales enablement, corporate learning, or professional localization.

• Comfortable utilizing terminology glossaries and style guides.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, including the Animation Pane and animation repair.

• Familiarity with Articulate Rise or similar authoring tools.

• Strong understanding of German text expansion and compound nouns in fixed formats.

• Reliable availability overlapping with Eastern Time (GMT-4) / Central European business hours.

• Nice to have: experience in localization QA with animated/interactive presentations.

• Nice to have: experience in B2B sales enablement.

• Ability to work remotely in a contract position.
