Translator, Learning Designer – Localization Project, Chinese – Simplified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assess and enhance AI-pretranslated content in Smartcat for precision, fluency, grammar, tone, and authentic Chinese expression.

• Consistently implement approved terminology across skills, decisions, products, and specialized vocabulary.

• Maintain a conversational, evidence-driven, and commercially astute tone.

• Naturally adapt buyer-as-hero and “you” language for Chinese audiences.

• Reconstruct finalized translations in existing PowerPoint presentations and Articulate Rise modules.

• Test and correct animations, transitions, triggers, timing, and sequence builds.

• Address localized layout concerns, including overflow, line breaks, and truncated content.

• Execute minor edits to images and screenshot text in PowerPoint.

• Provide assets in a fully presentation-ready condition.

• Collaborate with the internal team and other contractors, working autonomously towards milestones.

• Engage in 1–2 weekly check-ins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Business-fluent or native-level Chinese with exceptional professional/B2B writing abilities.

• Strong English reading comprehension and collaborative skills.

• Demonstrated experience in business, sales enablement, corporate training, or professional localization.

• Comfortable working with terminology glossaries and style guides.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, including the Animation Pane and animation troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Articulate Rise or comparable authoring tools.

• Keen attention to layout, typography, and visual presentation quality.

• Reliable availability during Eastern Time (GMT-4) / Central European business hours.

• Experience in localization QA for animated/interactive presentations is a plus.

• B2B sales enablement experience is an added advantage.

• Business-fluent or native-level proficiency in Chinese is mandatory.
