This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.
• Promote QuidelOrtho's Transfusion Medicine product lines to clients within a designated geographic area.
• Identify, convert, implement, and enhance the adoption of competitive Transfusion Medicine accounts.
• Maintain relationships with high-value strategic existing customers in collaboration with Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and Strategic Account Executives.
• Convert competitive and new client accounts by showcasing value propositions and product functionalities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on competitive instrumentation and disseminate knowledge within the team.
• Cultivate and expand business within Transfusion Medicine accounts while remaining engaged during renewal processes.
• Propel Transfusion Medicine instrument placements throughout the assigned territory.
• Formulate and execute strategic territory plans to achieve quotas, KPIs, and sales objectives.
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Executives on Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) planning.
• Establish stakeholder relationships and implement customer engagement and call strategies.
• Manage opportunities throughout the buying and sales cycle using a strategic selling approach.
• Assist with the transition planning for newly acquired customers and introduce them to Account Managers.
• Work alongside technical teams and Inside Sales to target and convert independent, non-standardized IDNs.
• Provide prompt sales forecasts, activity updates, account information, and CRM reports.
• Partner with Marketing to identify equipment placement opportunities.
• Travel to client locations and engage in customer-facing sales activities.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 5 years of sales experience within the healthcare industry.
• Understanding of B2B sales and/or distribution sales.
• Strong skills in business development, strategic marketing, and data analysis.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Transfusion Medicine market.
• Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
• Strategic thinker with the capability to translate strategies into actionable tactical plans.
• Proven ability to achieve results independently in a fast-paced team setting.
• Strong commercial and business acumen.
• Capability to identify critical business issues and offer actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in managing complex sales cycles both internally and externally.
• Ability to analyze financial data and create strategies and plans accordingly.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Commitment to upholding individual and company values.
• High degree of ethics and professionalism.
• Ability to work under general supervision by adhering to established procedures.
• Customer-facing personnel must fulfill customer credentialing requirements, which may include current immunizations.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship at this time.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically for overnight trips.
• Preferred: 7 years of sales experience in the healthcare industry.
• Previous experience in hospital or physician office lab sales, distribution, or capital equipment sales is preferred.
• Specialist Blood Bank (SBB) Certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• An automobile suitable for travel to client locations and airports is necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Required vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
