This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, review, and oversee sales contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and legal standards.
• Tailor contract clauses for particular business circumstances, counterparties, or initiatives.
• Confirm, record, and validate daily transactions involving environmental products and derivatives.
• Manage invoicing, payments, product receipt, delivery, and the completion of settlements.
• Reconcile cash and position records with booked transactions and address any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with accounting and administrative teams to achieve precise results.
• Assess operational risks and credit exposure, proposing strategies for mitigation.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Compute daily profit and loss figures, assisting portfolio managers and the front office team.
• Keep well-organized records of contracts and transactions.
• Generate reports and summaries detailing contractual requirements, obligations, and budgets.
• Facilitate front office communications and address inquiries related to orders, agreements, and data reports.
• Oversee recurring transaction workflows, deadlines, and pending items.
• Manage QAQC processes throughout project execution.
• Cultivate knowledge across the transaction lifecycle and environmental product landscape.
• Educate colleagues on subject matter expertise and consulting fundamentals, aiding in the optimization of project processes.
• Assist with filing, documentation, correspondence, audit support, and various administrative tasks.
• Enhance and maintain contract templates, trackers, and reporting tools.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, intellectual curiosity, accountability, and empathy.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, etc.).
• 2–3 years of professional experience in transaction support, trade operations, contract administration, or accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Comfortable in building and auditing financial or emissions models in Excel.
• Familiar with contract management, CRM, or ERP systems such as Salesforce or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of environmental commodity markets, including EACs, carbon credits, and associated derivatives.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including invoicing, accruals, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Acquainted with risk management practices, compliance standards, and internal control expectations.
• Capable of analyzing and interpreting complex legal and commercial documents.
• Exceptional communication, teaching, public speaking, and facilitation abilities.
• Analytical thinker and quick learner; adept at handling qualitative and quantitative challenges, spreadsheets, approximations, and engineering assumptions.
• Willing to travel occasionally (5–10% of the time).
