This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create realistic deal scenarios, evaluate model-generated analyses, and analyze financial assumptions and outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive written feedback based on professional M&A and valuation practices.
• Construct realistic scenarios that encompass quality-of-earnings analyses and financial due diligence.
• Formulate tasks addressing recurring and non-recurring adjustments, revenue quality, EBITDA normalization, and sustainability of earnings.
• Evaluate working-capital and net-debt analyses.
• Pinpoint unsupported adjustments, incomplete diligence findings, and inconsistencies in financial conclusions.
• Generate and assess discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses.
• Build deal, merger, and leveraged buyout models.
• Review assumptions regarding growth, margins, discount rates, capital structure, and terminal value.
• Examine model mechanics, formulas, sensitivities, and valuation outcomes.
• Detect calculation errors, unrealistic assumptions, and methodological shortcomings.
• Create scenarios related to purchase price allocation and ASC 805.
• Review the identification and valuation of acquired assets, liabilities, and intangible assets.
• Evaluate goodwill calculations and accounting considerations related to transactions.
• Analyze deal structures, sources and uses, financing assumptions, and post-transaction effects.
• Review and compare AI-generated outputs for transaction advisory and valuation.
• Assess analytical precision, defensibility of assumptions, and exercise of professional judgment.
• Identify technical inaccuracies, overlooked considerations, and unsupported recommendations.
• Offer clear written feedback detailing strengths, weaknesses, and necessary corrections.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research and quality review teams.
• Professional experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, valuation, corporate development, or investment banking.
• Experience with Big Four transaction advisory, boutique advisory, or similar deal environments.
• Direct ownership of quality-of-earnings analyses, valuation models, or deal models.
• Strong comprehension of working capital, net debt, EBITDA adjustments, and transaction mechanics.
• Experience in developing or reviewing DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, or LBO models.
• Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently within an asynchronous project environment.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field is highly relevant.
• CPA credentials may enhance an application.
• ASA, ABV, CFA, or another recognized valuation qualification could be beneficial.
• An MBA, master's degree, or advanced training in transaction advisory may also be considered.
• Fully remote position with flexible scheduling options.
• Competitive compensation ranging from $75 to $115 per hour, based on expertise and project scope.
• Weekly payments facilitated through Stripe or Wise.
