Training Specialist, Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive training strategy and plan for IHS providers, program staff, and end users of immunization data systems.

• Create two training formats: (1) a self-paced module for independent learning, and (2) an instructor-led curriculum that the IHS HQ immunization team will use for both in-person and virtual training sessions.

• Produce a complete training product suite that includes an instructor guide, participant workbook/quick reference guide, slide deck, job aids, and case studies/practice scenarios.

• Utilize adult learning principles and accommodate various learning modalities; align each learning objective with a job behavior (such as accessing reports, interpreting data, identifying coverage gaps, informing outreach and recall, and monitoring progress).

• Conduct virtual train-the-trainer sessions for the IHS HQ immunization team and mentor them on effectively presenting the training to end users.

• Enhance and finalize the training package based on feedback from the Government, providing editable source files for long-term use by IHS.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Public Health, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in developing and delivering curricula for adult learning, virtual training, instructor-led materials, job aids, and educational products.

• Proven experience in supporting healthcare or public health initiatives.

• Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Captivate) and SCORM packaging.

• Experience in designing train-the-trainer programs and familiarity with Kirkpatrick evaluation methods.

• Knowledge of Section 508-compliant course design; experience designing for low-bandwidth or rural learners.
