Instructional Designer – Part Time, Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, design, and create course materials and assets while managing course development projects.

• Assist in preparing both proposed and existing courses for design review by adhering to industry standards and the NPRC-approved rubric.

• Suggest innovative design, format, and/or technological enhancements to increase learner engagement.

• Aid in the development and organization of online lesson materials utilizing faculty content, additional instructional content, software applications, and the LMS as necessary.

• Work alongside SMEs to create engaging content such as video, audio, and interactive elements.

• Ensure adherence to project timelines for instructional design initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or a related field.

• Advanced expertise in implementing common instructional design principles and best practices.

• Experience in designing course materials and managing learning management systems (LMS).

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional or instructional design experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is preferred.

• Experience as an LMS administrator, such as with Brightspace/Desire2Learn, is preferred.

• Understanding of best practices in website design is preferred.

• Proficiency in graphic design tools like Adobe, Canva, etc., is preferred.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities are preferred.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical colleagues, are preferred.

• Experience in teaching others and creating learning materials for hardware and software applications is preferred.

• Knowledge of educational assessment and evaluation methodologies is preferred.

• Experience conducting course reviews using an industry-recognized rubric and effectively communicating results and recommendations is preferred.

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively are preferred.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is preferred.

• Excellent critical thinking skills are preferred.
