Trainer for CAD and Artificial Intelligence in Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Providing hands-on expertise in CAD systems, Generative Design, and the application of AI in the engineering field.

• Assisting mechanical engineering professionals in their journey towards contemporary digital product development.

• Enabling participants to efficiently complete design tasks with the aid of AI.

• Instructing on the effective utilization of generative AI tools.

• Leading participants in critically assessing technical solutions and AI-generated outcomes.

• Enhancing contemporary CAD and engineering workflows.

• Educating on the responsible and economical incorporation of AI into daily professional activities.

• Supporting the digital engineering workflow from the initial design stage through AI-assisted analysis, generative variant creation, technical assessment and optimization, documentation, and transition into professional practice.

• Presenting technical content to adult learners in a practical, engaging, and accessible manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, product development, design engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or CAD engineering.

• Proficient knowledge of at least one professional CAD system, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion.

• Practical experience with parametric design and contemporary CAD workflows.

• Extensive knowledge of current AI applications in engineering and CAD.

• Proven experience in utilizing generative AI solutions effectively, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar systems.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted features in modern CAD systems, including Generative Design or automated optimization.

• Capability to critically evaluate AI-generated results with sound technical judgment.

• Strong understanding of the potential, limitations, risks, and quality standards related to generative AI.

• Experience in delivering technical training to adults or equivalent instructional experience.

• Preferred experience with Generative Design and topology optimization.

• Awareness of current advancements in AI for engineering.

• Experience in analyzing and improving design processes.

• Knowledge of parametric modeling and automated variant generation.

• Experience with prompt engineering for technical applications.

• Ability to incorporate AI into existing engineering workflows.

• Experience in assessing the technical feasibility, manufacturability, and functionality of AI-generated solutions.

• Understanding of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI usage in a corporate setting.

• Background in coaching, project work, or practical knowledge transfer.

• Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions.

• Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, or similar platforms.

• Experience with BIM-based AI applications.

• Knowledge of visual scripting solutions such as Dynamo or Grasshopper.

• Experience with automation tools like Python, Power Automate, or n8n.

• Understanding of digital product development concepts, such as Digital Twins, PLM, or simulation.

• Experience with AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management.

• Familiarity with modern cloud CAD systems.

• AEVO certification or a comparable pedagogical qualification.
