Trainer – CAD, Artificial Intelligence & Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide practical, straightforward training on both traditional design and contemporary AI-enhanced engineering methodologies.

• Assist mechanical engineering professionals in adapting to modern digital product development.

• Educate on CAD systems, Generative Design, and the professional application of AI in engineering.

• Aid participants in efficiently completing design tasks with AI assistance.

• Instruct on the effective and judicious use of generative AI tools.

• Teach participants how to critically assess AI-generated technical solutions.

• Streamline modern CAD and engineering workflows.

• Facilitate the responsible and cost-effective incorporation of AI into everyday professional practices.

• Lead participants through the digital engineering workflow—from design tasks and AI-assisted analysis to variant development, technical evaluation, optimization, documentation, and practical application.

• Instruct on the efficient, economical, and responsible integration of AI into tangible engineering processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, product development, design engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design, product development, or CAD engineering.

• Strong proficiency in at least one professional CAD system, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion.

• Hands-on experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows.

• Extensive knowledge of current AI applications relevant to engineering and CAD.

• Proven experience in productively using generative AI solutions, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar systems.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted features in modern CAD systems, including Generative Design or automated optimization.

• Ability to evaluate AI-generated outcomes with solid technical knowledge and to question them critically.

• Deep understanding of the opportunities, limitations, risks, and quality standards associated with generative AI.

• Experience in delivering technical content to adult learners or similar training experience.

• Knowledge of Generative Design and topology optimization is an advantage.

• Awareness of current advancements in AI for engineering.

• Experience in analyzing and optimizing design processes.

• Familiarity with parametric modeling and automated variant generation.

• Proficient in prompt engineering for technical applications.

• Ability to incorporate AI into established engineering workflows.

• Experience in evaluating the technical feasibility, manufacturability, and functionality of AI-generated solutions.

• Understanding of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI usage in a corporate setting.

• Background in coaching, project work, or practice-oriented knowledge transfer.

• Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or equivalent solutions.

• Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, or similar platforms.

• Experience with BIM-based AI applications.

• Knowledge of visual scripting tools like Dynamo, Grasshopper, or others.

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Python, Power Automate, or n8n.

• Understanding of digital product development concepts, including Digital Twins, PLM, or simulation.

• Experience with AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management.

• Familiarity with modern cloud CAD systems.

• AEVO trainer certification or an equivalent pedagogical qualification.
