Trade Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversees the BIM/VDC workflow for all projects.

• Develops methods and procedures for detailing, kitting, fabrication, and installation.

• Offers assistance to both the Foreman and Operations during each project phase.

• Collaborates closely with Modelers, BIM Technicians, and Detailers to produce drawings and documentation for fabrication and field installation.

• Ensures effective communication among VC, Manufacturing, Operations, and field teams.

• Manages a team while ensuring that deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.

• Identifies manufacturing opportunities for individual projects.

• Works alongside the VDC Manager to monitor the VC budget and track deliverable deadlines.

• Keeps the VDC Manager updated on any modifications to the original VDC scope.

• Establishes project folders for VC deliverables.

• Supports field personnel prior to and during the construction process.

• Assists the VDC Manager in creating measurable goals for employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in commercial/industrial construction.

• 5+ years of experience as a Foreman responsible for managing projects, personnel, schedules, budgets, and scopes.

• Must be technologically proficient and willing to learn and adapt to new software and technologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trade-specific codes and a general understanding of all building codes.

• Skilled in cross-referencing plans across various trades.

• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while supervising large teams.
