
Trade Show & Event Planning Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Oversee the comprehensive strategy, planning, and execution of intricate events, including internal meetings, client conferences, executive programs, and trade shows.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the event strategy aligns with business objectives and customer engagement targets.
β’ Manage the complete event lifecycle, encompassing program design, timelines, logistics, and onsite execution.
β’ Create and oversee event budgets, including forecasting, financial tracking, and reconciliation processes.
β’ Source, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships, venues, and contracts to guarantee quality and cost-effectiveness.
β’ Handle multiple concurrent programs while proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
β’ Establish and enhance processes, tools, and best practices to improve scalability and consistency.
β’ Analyze performance metrics and offer actionable insights for future event enhancements.
β’ Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
β’ Ensure adherence to organizational, contractual, and regulatory standards.
β’ At least 10 years of experience in event management within corporate or technology sectors.
β’ CMP certification is required.
β’ Demonstrated ability to independently manage large-scale, high-visibility events with measurable results.
β’ Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
β’ Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
β’ Capability to manage multiple complex initiatives with effective prioritization and execution in high-pressure situations.
β’ Expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships.
β’ Skilled in using analytics and insights to enhance performance.
β’ Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, process improvement, and execution excellence.
β’ Proactive, solutions-focused, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced and often challenging environment.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Cvent and Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
