This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Delivering operational assistance to the Country Trade Compliance team in overseeing the US Trade Compliance Program.

• Maintaining the US Trade portal and the Inside+ page.

• Creating and managing tracking tools.

• Handling HR Export Control Review forms.

• Resolving business partner blocks and auditing block releases by the businesses.

• Issuing customs broker Power of Attorneys (POAs) annually.

• Managing Customs notifications and demands.

• Monitoring compliance mitigation actions and project milestones.

• Serving as the operational hub for the US CTCO team, ensuring visibility and timely reporting across all Country trade compliance activities.

• Assisting the CTCO team in developing and maintaining a training matrix for trade compliance and product classification programs, as well as a shareable training tracker for use by the CTCO Team, LTCOs, and PCEs.

• Overseeing all Trade portals and drives including the U.S. Trade SharePoint Portal; organizing, indexing files, creating folders and protected areas, and managing access permissions as needed.

• Aiding in the development and maintenance of the internal US Trade Compliance Inside ABB page.

• Responsible for reviewing and processing HR Export Control Review forms weekly.

• Accountable for reviewing and releasing Business Partner blocks in AMSAP, Torque, BUS, S4/HANA, and CFIN.

• Tasked with auditing SPL & Embargo block release audit texts from GTS approved users monthly.

• Ensuring the Point of Contacts file shared with customs brokers is updated on a monthly basis.

• Supporting the Senior Leader, Trade Compliance Program, with the issuance of annual Broker POAs, sending them to the brokers, and storing them in a country repository.

• Updating the Broker Matrix as necessary.

• Assisting the Senior Leader, Trade Compliance Program, in tracking Trade Review gap mitigation actions to ensure gaps are addressed by the LTCOs.

• Reporting progress to CTCO for CTCC meetings, BATM escalations, and CHO awareness.

• Supporting the Senior Leader, US Trade Compliance Strategic Projects, in tracking milestones for all trade projects to ensure tasks are completed.

• Developing and maintaining the Country’s Trade Compliance Projects Tracker to provide the CTCO with regular updates.

• Responsible for tracking Customs Notices and Demands weekly, informing affected LTCOs, and monitoring timely responses to CBP.

• Tracking the completion of the Global Trade Risk Assessment mitigation actions and sending monthly reports to the CTCO and Senior Leader, Trade Compliance Program on overall country progress to facilitate reminders for LTCOs and their line managers.

• Responsible for enhancing and maintaining the US Country Trade Footprint.

• Developing, maintaining, and managing the Risk Review (RR) tracker for the CTCO.

• Collaborating with LTCOs to create a list of Tender Responsibles by LDIV, and developing a Risk Review SOP template for LTCOs to ensure proper due diligence is performed.

• Establishing a country repository for Risk Reviews where the CTCO can access all RRs and related documentation.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining a CTCO Team tracking tool to provide visibility on the team's tasks and deadlines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a Paralegal Certification from an accredited institution, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in International Trade Compliance.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and/or a minimum of 5 years of project management experience.

• Experience in international trade compliance projects.

• Experience in process improvement and implementation is advantageous.

• Highly proficient in Microsoft’s Platform tools and systems.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP/GTS.

• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.

• Strong understanding of U.S. Customs, BIS, EAR, OFAC, and the ITAR (export, import, and sanctions).

• Ability to build and maintain relationships at both the global and country levels, communicating effectively across all functions of the enterprise.

• Capable of managing assignments with minimal or no direct supervision.

• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential.

• Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with various levels within the company and with external individuals.

• Ability to work remotely within a Country team in a complex, decentralized organization.

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
